Léa Allix-Cornelissen

I’m a bilingual jurist with hands-on experience in international criminal law, humanitarian law, and human rights. I have worked with leading institutions such as the International Criminal Court, the IRMCT, and Eurojust — managing defence cases, organising and conducting field missions, analysing complex evidence, and drafting legal submissions in high-stakes international proceedings.

Over the years, I have supported a wide range of legal professionals — from lawyers and investigators to translators and policy advisors — helping them sharpen their arguments, master legal terminology in French or English, and navigate multilingual legal systems with clarity and confidence.

I founded Right Words Consulting to support the people behind international justice and human rights efforts — those working to protect dignity, advance accountability, and make a lasting impact on society and the planet. My aim is to make their work easier, more effective, and more precise — by helping them say what they mean, and mean what they say, in French or English.

Through Right Words, I offer legal language training, legal translation, and strategic consulting — tailored services that combine legal expertise, intercultural fluency, and a deep understanding of international legal systems.

What I bring:

  • Legal and strategic insight

  • Multilingual and multicultural fluency

  • Field and courtroom experience

  • A sharp eye for clarity, nuance, and precision — across languages and legal cultures

At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to support people doing good work, with the right words and the right tools.
